Textbook consists of two parts - general and special. The general part includes basic information on infectious diseases and epidemiological regularities, diagnostic methods, principles of rational therapy. Section recited  calendar of preventive vaccinations and any accumulated data needed pediatrician for competent vaccination. The role of immunization in reducing not only the incidence of many infections, but also in reducing disease severity and incidence of adverse effects. In a separate section presents the issues of non-specific prevention of infectious diseases in children's groups.
The special part covers the most common infection, and a number of diseases, which are relevant in recent years has increased - chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, toxoplasmosis, malaria and others.
